Haddenham crossing

Some people said that Local County Councillor Bill Hunt and his District Colleagues would not be able to get a light controlled pedestrian crossing installed near Top Corner in Haddenham.

Well, after over a year of effort by Bill and other local Councillors work on the long awaited aprox £100,000 facility has started.

The contractors and Cambridgeshire County Council Highway managers have promised to have all the work finished before 1st December which is great news.

"This really has been a long journey" said Bill "But safety along the whole of the A1123 really is a priority for me as local County Member".

"At both Parish and District level we have been working with Bill and now it's really happening we are all excited" said Haddenham District and Parish Councillor Stuart Smith.
