Lucy Frazer QC MP

Conservative Member of Parliament for South East Cambridgeshire

Lucy Frazer was born and brought up in Yorkshire and went to university in Cambridge. She has spent most of her working life as a barrister and left the Bar to commit full-time to the constituency.

Lucy is not a career politician: "I am simply someone who has been lucky in her professional career who feels it is important to contribute to society".

Lucy was first elected in May 2015.  She was then elected to the Education Select Committee in June 2015 and was appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Paymaster General and Minister to the Cabinet Office at the time, Ben Gummer, in July 2016. Lucy was re-elected as MP for SE Cambridgeshire in June 2017 and was appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the previous Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice, David Lidington MP.

In January 2018 Lucy was appointed as a Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Justice.

Lucy was re-elected as Conservative Member of Parliament for South East Cambridgeshire in the General Election on 12 December 2019.
